Tartarus sat on the steps of the theatre his sword at his side. His shirt was half opened and his hair was tossed by a light wind. He smiled looking around to the empty theatre. His hand rested on the hilt of his sword as he casually leaned back. His feet crossed and his eyes closed as he breathed in the air around him. It was fresh and wholesome unlike the air of his home. He had been wanting to get out for some years now and had finally found the strength to do so. Still he was afraid of confronting the masses and he wanted to intergrate slowly into the world of the gods

"Well isn't it my long lost brother." Gaia appeared a few feet away from her older brother. The last time she'd seen him was back before she'd had all of her babies before she'd made Uranus. He was always the odd ball of the family the one that was never around, but she loved him none the less. "What are you doing back in Greece? You've been gone for a long time Tar." She reverted back to the oldnick name she'd called him when they were kids as she hugged him tight.
"You missed a lot."

Tartarus was shocked. He hugged her back his eyes growing wild. She was here, the woman he had always loved adn never forgotten. His heart pounded but his face remained calm. His shock was only slightly conveyed by a flash of his eyes. He warmly hugged her knowing it had been too long
"The world below the underworld keeps me busy sister and besides the things I have missed are only drama and pain like they were before." He remembered a time when he was active on the mountain. Chaos had given them many things and was his mother, but he had not enjoyed the infighting even that early. Still maybe it was worth it to have conpanionship, especially Gaia's

“You missed my coronation and my wedding, and Rhea’s, and Hera’s! You never come out of that prison down there you’d think you were one of the prisoners not the guy who ran the place. I thought you’d have come back for the wedding at least.” She pulled back looking at his face, “You haven’t changed a bit since I saw you the last time, me that’s another story I swear I put on thirty pounds having all the kids.” There had been times all those children were a bit of an overload but she could still handle it most of the time. “Uranus will be so excited to see you, and Mom.”
Between her siblings Tartarus had always been her favorite brother, and the one she missed the most. “She hasn’t changed much since you left in all hosnety. She’s still got the obsession with cars as always, tried getting me to drive the other day as a matter a fact.”

"I still think you are the most beautiful of all dear sister. You really look just as radiant as when you were younger." Tartarus smiled for once finally raising his head to look into her eyes. He grinned like he was young once again and the cares of his prison fell from his face. He had missed her wedding for a reason. He could not have sat there and not tried to rescue the woman who ruled his heart. He wanted to be with her so much but he also wanted her to be happy
"So the kids are well then?" Even in his prison he had heard of her care for her children and grandchildren. It was hard to think of his lovely sister as having so many to tend to but she seemed to be taking it well

“If Uranus heard you he might just add you to his list of things to kill while he’s away.” She teased with a smile. “He nearly killed Dionysus the other day, then again lately it seems if someone gets within a few feet of me and they’re not female of one of our sons they get in trouble with him. He’s so parinod.” With any hope Tartarus hadn’t heard of her sleeping around it was bad enough with everyone hearing of it. They all knew she cheated on Uranus, but he cheated on her too.
“They’re all perfect. Most of them are already moved out thank god. A few more years with that many kids in the house and I might just go insane.”

"Well were you not lovers with your sons as well? Besides I am your long lost brother I've been without a lover for so long I doubt I would really want one now." Of course that was a lie. He wanted Gaia but he would never ruin the happiness she had with Uranus. The story about Dionysus did interest him though. He had heard rumors of her unfaithfulness but he had heard the same told on Uranus. The men in their family were something terrible. Tartarus would have been forever faithful if only someone had loved him
"You aren't insane already?" Tartarus' former wit was picking back up and he smiled easily as he leaned back against the seat. He laid his hands behind his head remembering what it was like to be amoung others of his kind

Smiling she hugged him again, "Just one, it's not like I've slept with all of them, not that way at least. Just don't tell that to Uranus he'll never let me be around you then, I got yelled at the other day for seeing Dionysus again. He gets so annoying at times, there are times I regret marrying him at times." Gaia was happy but her husband did get annoying at times. She loved him but he was so protective, and posessive. It wans't like he didn't screw around so why couldn't she? "So are you. We've both got Chaos as a mother it's a preresquite of being nuts. Feel lucky you don't have 40 some kids like I do, I don't think I've managed to have a moment to myself since I got pregnant the first time, first it was Uri watching me constnatly making sure I didn't 'over exert myself' and then the babies, and just the babies. He's gone so much won't be back for a few weeks I suspect. He went off to his cabin or somewhere to go on a hunting trip took a few of the boys with him I think." She loved them all but they got so annoying at times. There were times Gaia just wanted to get out and get away from her children, and Uranus. She wanted to be back to the life she'd had before she'd ruled Olympus before she'd become a wife and mother. "Mom is a bit nutty, so are Nyx, Erebus, etc." (I've been watching/reading Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood WAY to freaking much Gaia has slight Vivi issues got to a part in the book where one of the girls called Vivi the 'Duck Widow' because her hubby is always at the Duck Camp hunting hence where Uri is (and no one plays him ) )

"If I was your husband, or even lucky enough to be your lover I would want no other lover. Maybe that is why I am so different from the others." The words were bold and his eyes were glued to her face. He reached up and brushed a piece of hair from her face. He could almost feel her discontent and he knew he was in a bad place.
"Besides I think Dionysus maybe a bit too young. There's too much wild still left in that boys blood." Rumors of the wine god had come to him as well. He just sighed and shook his head as he leaned back on his hands. He tried looking around the beautiful theatre. His eyes fell on the large red curtain and the blank stage before him.
"And mom was always nutty. All of us have always been nutty, and the others call me strange." He just shook his head and laughed, a sound he had not heard from himself in some time. For once, he was actually happy

Smiling as she sat down beside him Gaia said, “I didn’t have any others until the kids took over, Uranus didn’t even want to talk to me for months he left and went to his cabin for a few months missed Rhea and Cronus’ coronations and all that. He missed their wedding as well. I suppose that’s what I get for helping my children overthrow their father.”
“Uranus won’t let me near him alone any more besides. He is too young we’ve flirted for years but nothing was ever supposed to come of it, it wasn’t like before. A few weren’t my choice I just ended up with the affair happening or I was trying to make Uranus mad with Diony it was just someone to be with while Uranus was gone.”
“You are strange. You’ve avoided coming up here for years, you’re never around. Mom has gotten a bit more normal since you left not much mind you just a bit.”

"Well it seems Rhea and Cronus were also overthrown. It seems to be our way to have our children take over and kick us out. I've talked to Cronus a lot since his imprisonment. Rhea visits at times and she reminds me so much of you. So lovely but yet so kept together, unlike these young gods running around causing chaos. Cronus has informed of much that has happened in the outside world but it is nothing like being here. Besides with all this madness going on, do you blame me for hiding in my prison." Tartarus smiled as he brushed a piece of his sister's hair from her face. They were so close now and in truth he was jealous of Dionysus. The young god had won the affections of Gaia, and even if it was not love it was at least flirtation and a few stolen kisses.

“Yes I had a vision one day and Cronus took it the wrong way, the throne makes us all a little parinod I think. He started swallowing his children one after another every time Rhea got pregnant. He’d be fine for about five mintues then it would all go wrong. Rhea and I kept the last baby a secret and Zeus took over from his father.” She took his hand squeezing it. “There are times I would have gone down t here and joined you but I was either pregnant, had a new baby, or one of the kids had just had something horrible happen.”

"Cronus told me the whole story though in not such a quiet way. I cannot blame anyone in this matter." Tartarus was a very neutral god and could see both sides of this coin, though of course he sided with his sister the most. He wasn't sure if her comment on joining him was genuine but he would like to think so. He just smiled to her letting him hope and feel a warmth he so rarely knew
"And are you happy with life dear sister? You seem to rather enjoy the trouble you cause, but maybe you are acting out because life is not all you hoped for." His voice was steady as he spoke and he knew his words were true. He could see it in his sister's face, words, and even manner. She was holding it together, but just barely. Damn Uranus for not making the most perfect woman in the world happy

"It wans't anything horrible, it was just how he took it. I wouldn't have even told him about the vision but I had it in the middle of a meeting, even after Uranus and I were overthrown we kept going to meetings to help the kids out. Rhea and Cronus wern't ready when they took over I don't think anyone is ever ready for the throne of Greece. It makes you crazy." She said dropping her gaze to the ground, "If it was anyone's fault it was mine, I was the one who had the vision. That was the first time I almost left. Cronus was hurting Rhea so much I couldn't stand it Tar. Every time she had a baby he took it from her, it was the beginnign of my marriage all over agian."
"I've got a husband who addores me, more kids than I can count, and beautiful grandchildren what's not to be happy about?" She smiled knowing she was lying. Life wans't all it was cracked up to be at times but it was still bareable. "I am happy Tartarus. Except for Uranus constantly running off to the cabin, and those girlfriends he had our marriage is just fine. Contrary to what Nyx may say we're just fine. It's all peachy.."

"Sh....it's not your fault. Trust me I've seen Cronus it could not be your fault." Tartarus reached out and took her into his arms. He had never had children though he could imagine Rhea's agony. The titaness had been strong and so had Gaia, but the strain was obvious. Even as she spoke of her perfect life he could hear it in her voice. He may have been in his own personal prison for the last thousand years but he was always a listen and was rather perceptive. He could hear the pain in her voice
"Don't lie to me Gaia you never could. Be honest with me. Letting it all out might help you make it better. I know you are hurt over Uranus' actions." He soothed her by rubbing her back and kissing the top of her forehead. He allowed himself to imagine for a second that he was ehr savior, that he could make it all better, but he knew it was a lie. That second was fleeting and then the reality of Gaia being married hit him hard
