Nike's heart pounded in rhythm as she walekd onto the floor. It was at least one am and she was in the Sertaki club on techno night. She smiled as she danced wildly her hands above her heads and hair falling into her face. As she spun her hair flew around her and she giggled. Of course she couldn't be heard over the music and she didn't mind. She was lost in a sea of bodies for once and was so excited. Usually every mortal and god was after her, but for once she was just another face.
The beat got louder, or maybe she just got more lost in it. She began to sweat, well more glisten then sweat. She smiled to herself as her hair whipped from her face. She ran her hands through it as she wildly gave another spin before the song ended. There was clapping and she looked around seeing so many unfamiliar faces. She felt normal, even if it was for a second

As he leaned against the wall and looked up at the sky, he took a sip of his drink. By the gods, he was bored, even here. Sure, the music was good, the drinks were better, and the women.. well.. they were some of the best, but he was still damn bored. He supposed it was simply because there was nothing left here to catch his attention for more than a second.. not even the occasional drunken fight.
Sighing, he raised his hand and started moving his fingers as if he were playing with a marionette's strings.. and in essence, he was. Even though they were in the distance, he could clearly see every star and he was currently moving them around to fit his own desires. Not because any one situation called for it, not because a certain mortal wanted to see a certain star, but because he was bored.
As he moved them around at his leisure, one stood out to him, shining brighter than the others around it. Tilting his head to the side slightly, he knew exactly which star it was and who it belonged to. "Nike," he said to himself, a smile finally coming across his face. Pointing at her star, he figured he'd have some fun with it. Moving his hand to the side, he brought her star ever closer to his - his, of course, being the complete constellation of Aries, the Ram. The effects of this.. should be interesting to say the least, he thought, taking another sip of his drink as he let go of her star and put his hand in his pocket.

Nike felt something strange inside her as if someone had brushed her. She looked around and saw no one as her brow creased in confusion. What could have just happened? She was not sure if she was getting too hot or if she was getting too lost in her freedom of being normal. She made her way to the bar and sat at the bar ordering a margarita. She wanted something cold to cool her down. She was still a little shaken by the feeling inside her. It was as if a cold hand had run its fingertip down her back. She just sighed and closed her eyes rubbing her temples. It was the stress, it had to be the stress. The calm goddess was never rattled, but right now she was rather freaked out.
"What's wrong with me?" She asked the question to no one in particular. She thought she was losing her mind. There was so much war and everyone prayeed to her. She could hear the kings of mortals and gods in her head begging for victory. If only she could shut them out, find peace for even a few minutes. She just put her head in her hands and rubbed her temples lightly. Why her? Why couldn't she have gotten something easier? It was so hard to pick winner in battle. She could never bring herself to fulfill their prayers without killing another. Maybe that's why she was so tough, but right now she was vulnerable and she knew it.
She looked up catching the eyes of someone who was not familiar to her. She knew who Crius was and that he was the God of Constellations, but she had never actually met him. Funny to see another god amoung so many lesser beings. She could have kicked herself for not sensing him earlier. Her skills were getting weak from all her worry and here soon she would be unfit for her duties if she didn't watch it

He strolled over to the bar, feeling like a black panther who was in the midst of stalking it's prey. He gave her a wolflike smile as he stopped beside her and leaned on the lip of the bar, still holding his drink in his left hand. "Nike, sweet little Nike.. how are you? You're looking very delicious tonight, if I may say so," he said as he greeted her, his dark blue eyes sliding over her lithe body like silken bedsheets. He took a sip of his drink and wet his lips with the tip of his tongue afterwards, tasting the remnants of his drink on them. He considered sitting down beside her for a moment, then disregarded the thought, deciding that it would be a bit preemptive of him. One usually asked to sit beside a lady such as the goddess Nike first, and he, while a god himself, wouldn't ignore that usually unwritten rule.
His outfit, thought to be casual like his personality and demeanor, was something that nobody would look twice at, but it was still nice enough to be out in - a dark blue shirt that matched his eyes, dark colored denim jeans that clung to his body but were loose enough to move in, and nearly brand new sneakers in a grey-silver color. Sure, the sneakers kinda threw off the whole casually smooth look, but they were more comfortable than any pair of leather dress shoes that could go with this suit, and he was all about comfort. Unfortunately, the elders weren't, and they had requested a time or two that he wear the traditional Greek himation and sandals - he'd complied for meetings, but out on the town, he wore what he wanted, damn the consequences. It wasn't like they could fire him or take away his god liscense - it was just a damned outfit, and while it may be tradition, he hated the thing. One day, he'd change the rules.. but today probably wasn't that day. Tomorrow wasn't looking too good, either.
He pushed himself off of the bar, standing upright, and went around to the other side of her, standing just behind her chair. Leaning forward a little, he spoke lightly, his lips barely brushing her ear. "I'm surprised that dress hasn't set off the smoke alarms yet, angel. It's a three alarm fire waiting to happen.. especially on someone like you," he growled, glancing down and catching an eyefull of her generous cleavage with a lopsided grin.
